There hasn't been any big moves for a while, and we do apologize for this.
However, there are reasons for this.
First of all, Wired is an end study project at Epitech (Paris, France). Therefore, we've been quite busy on other projects, trying the old-fashioned blitzkrieg to finish all of them in two months to spare the end of the school year on Wired again.
Then, as the current Wired team is finishing the year, we are preparing a brand new one. They will be introduced soon. They are currently preparing their work (roadmap, proposal, ...) and will start working on the code with us when we get back on it.

On our side, here is the schedule for the month to come :
15th of January : End of the other projects
16th of January : Back on Wired
5th of February : Final defence, end of the current team's work

Our last working session will focus on finishing what we started, to be able to release a 0.4 final. This is mainly finishing the new saving facility and maybe finishing the new plugin API implementation.

Anyway, keep an eye on the news and don't hesitate to suggest features to the upcoming team, it's now or next year ;).

Why an alpha version ?

First, because release early, release often.
Second, because we felt so joyful when seeing Wired with all this stability and new features, that we could not stand keeping it for us.
Fifth, there is no fifth.

In fact, in the 0.4 version, we have made (again), one big step to stability. Racks can be drag and dropped without fearing the sky to fall on our heads, patterns can be copy/pasted in almost every way, music can really be made !

The other big new thing with this release is that we completely changed the way data is saved. It is a brand new saving facility that is born there and of course, things are getting hot. That's why, with this alpha version, you can only store external files. The project saving in itself is still done with the old method (you can try it, at your own risks, it may work).
Moving to the new one to save the whole project implies changes in every part of Wired, which is quite a big task. We will certainly continue working on it for one or two weeks before everything is clear.
For those interested, a technical documentation should come out soon.

Needless to say that you are pretty urged to test this alpha and give feedback so we can still enhance it before the 0.4 final...

Stay in touch !

Wired is on his way !

Development is going on, new exciting features are on the run, but everyone cannot see how the Wired Team works hard.
Days and nights behind eye-destroying screens, 8 hours-long sessions with the smallest font ever for emacs, a tyran as a chief, always asking for more, ...

Discover the life of the team that is going to change the face of MAO under Linux !
